It’s hard to pinpoint why people are so obsessed with Game of Thrones. It could be the crazy plot twists, it could be the sea of blood or maybe it’s all the hot scenes. Either way, you can’t deny that this show is probably the biggest show on TV right now and it’s got a huge and really hot cast we love drooling over. So let’s take a look at the 10 ultimate Game Of Thrones couples. Mind you, not all of these are couples in the traditional sense of the word, but you’ll see what we mean.

 

 

1. Oberyn Martell And Ellaria Sand
The GOT world is far from fair when it comes to gender equality, but when it comes to Oberyn and Ellaria, it seems like they were the only couple that really were equal. They absolutely adored each other. This is how you do it, folks.

 

 

2. Jon Snow And Ygritte
Thank god for Jon Snow and Ygritte for crushing the stereotypes of heroic men and damsels in distress. This is the couple that gave us an option where a man is saved by the woman. We are living for stuff like that.

3. Daenerys Targaryen And Khal Drogo
Ok so the way this whole relationship started is obviously far from perfect and is actually super wrong. But we can’t help but admire Daenerys for how she changed throughout the course of this relationship and how much respect she got from Drogo in the end.

 

 

4. Catelyn And Ned Stark
These two are relationship goals because of their mutual trust and respect for each other. No matter what happened they always relied on each other and knew that their partner would have their back.

5. Missandei And Grey Worm
We don’t get to see enough of this couple, because they’re not really main characters, are they. But we love how subtle they are with their relationships. It’s all in glances and subtle gestures. They know how they feel and they don’t need to show off their relationship, which is awesome.

 

 

6. Samwell Tarly And Gilly
This is the sweetest couple because everyone could tell that Sam had a crush on Gilly from the start, but he didn’t let that show too much, and he didn’t make a move. And when Gilly made the first move that didn’t threaten Sam’s masculinity or ego, he just let her be the one to make the first move and that’s pretty cool.

7. Ramsay Bolton And Myranda
Now this is tricky. We know Myranda and Ramsay weren’t really a couple. She was his lover. And we also know that Ramsay was a horrible sadistic git, and to be honest, so was Myranda, so in a way they were perfect for each other, don’t you think?

8. Tyrion Lannister And Shae
That “I am yours and you are mine” line had us all in happy tears. Tyrion and Shae were so sweet together, up until their downfall. But it’s understandable, once your girl testifies against you and on top of that you find out she slept with your dad, it only makes sense to strangle her. This is GOT after all.

 

 

9. Robb Stark And Talisa Jeyne
Robb and Talisa were a perfect couple, they were basically a GOT equivalent of a Cinderella story. She’s a poor war nurse, he’s a King, yet they fell in love and it was going to be perfect. But alas, this is GOT we’re talking about, so you can’t really count on a happy ending, can you? You can, however count on a bloody ending.

10. Brienne Of Tarth And Tormund
Are they a real couple? Not really. But hypothetically they could be and we think they would be amazing. It’s so fun to watch them interact that we can only dream about how awesome they could be as an actual couple.
