What do you like more Disney or Anime? Well what if we told you there’s a third option? We know it sounds wild but artist Giulliano Ricchi decided that he doesn’t have to choose. Not because you can like both, that’s too obvious. No, he came out with a brilliant idea of combining the two. The result is stunning. He paints Disney Princesses as anime characters, and you gotta admit it looks pretty awesome. We can only dream that one day someone will actually make these anime Disney fusion movies so we can watch an entire movie and see what other Disney characters look like as anime. However, we can enjoy these pictures of Disney Princesses drawn as anime characters for now.

 

 

1. Beauty and The Beast
Belle looks so innocent and adorable as an anime character, and the Beast in his human form is absolutely stunning, don’t you think?

 

 

2. Pocahontas and John Smith
Pocahontas looks a bit more glamorous as an anime character, don’t you think? And we’re starting to see the fact that all princess in Disney look very similar.

3. Ariel and Prince Eric
Loving how confident Ariel is in this picture and how Eric seems just in awe.

 

 

4. Snow White
Snow White seems much more playful as an anime character than the Disney original. Perhaps is the slightly messy hair. Also she somehow looks much more modern here, right?

5. Cinderella and Prince Charming
Surprisingly Cinderella and Prince Charming look like they belong in anime. Perhaps it’s the lavish, over the top outfits that we often see in anime.

 

 

6. Princess Jasmine and Aladdin
Princess Jasmine and Aladdin look like they’re up to something and we know they are, but wouldn’t it be fun to see all the facial expressions Aladdin pulls in the anime version?

7. Rapunzel and Flynn Rider
These two look so cute, and also like they’re about to take a selfie with the new iPhone that Flynn is holding just out of frame.

 

 

8. Merida
In the Disney version Merida is such a free spirit and a tomboy, and in this anime drawing she looks so much more feminine and gentle. Her mom would probably be very happy if she looked like this all the time.

9. Mulan and Li Shang
I’m loving how sweet Mulan and Li Shang look as anime. This is the movie that we think should be made into anime first. It’s just too perfect.

 

 

10. Sleeping Beauty
Aurora’s hair looks much wilder and curly here and we’ve adoring it! Also, don’t you think there’s a slight Twilight mood to this picture?

11. Princess and the Frog
Tiana and Prince Naveen look absolutely gorgeous as anime characters. And the warm glow in the background is making this picture even more fairy like and magical.
