These cabins look like they’re in the middle of nowhere, and you probably need to have the survival skills of Leo in “The Revenant” to make it out alive of half of them (bye, society). But that doesn’t mean that it isn’t the most perfect dreamy escape from every breakup, office job, and dreary daily existence. Onwards with the fish-spearing lessons, we’re all in.

This surreal book/stone cabin almost doesn’t look real, especially as it colorfully juts out of an other wise snow-white background. Too cool.

This place looks like it belongs to the end of the world, or the beginning. *slowly contemplates leaving writing career to become an ice fisher*. This surreal getaway for some ‘me time’ looks like you might be the only person for hundreds of miles.

Snuggled in this snowy side of a mountain, we can already envision rolling fires inside and s’mores-making. Waking up early is a task, but we’d do it every day just to see sunrise from this place.

That morning fall is unreal. these two casual fishermen are hanging out in this lake where time seems to be suspended in the air, as does the house which looks as if its floating on the water.

This low-key cabin has some sort of unspeakable charm to it – with broken planks and those red lawn chairs. Surrounded by trees, this place doesn’t need anything too majestic – it looks rustic and lived-in, and that’s good enough for me.

That water, that view…if we could boat around every day in that lake, pretty sure the definition of bliss would be found. The owner’s morning coffee must be purely peaceful and we are so jealous.

This snow-covered A-frame house in Poland looks like it’s out of a movie shot or something. Stuck in the tundra. Maybe it’s just the framing of the shot, but this is so damn picturesque.

Honestly hadn’t heard of the Faroe Islands before this, but this sea and mountainside paradise makes us want to move there immediately. I mean, just look at that sailboat. This could be us but you playing.

Located in Flims, Switzerland, this looks like something out of the Chronicles of Narnia. Take us to this Santa wonderland and don’t make us ever grow up.
