The social network Facebook is about to unveil a new feature: the button "I vote" . The idea: to post on Facebook, in the eyes of all our friends, our participation in the European elections of May 25, 2014 , and why not, urge our friends to go to the polls.
Indeed, studies show that we are more likely to enter the political process when we see our friends vote.

This new feature already proposed in England and the Netherlands since yesterday, should see the light in France and Europe in the coming hours. This is actually a declination of the button "I'm a voter" set up for the last US presidential election. According to the Nature website, this would have sent 340,000 more Americans to the polling stations.

In April and May 2014, the button "I vote" was also introduced in India for the legislative election . According to Facebook, 4 million Indians have activated the feature.

The United States is already planning to use the "I vote" button again in November 2014 , during the mid-term election of Congress chambers. Other countries should also adopt it quickly : Colombia, South Korea, Sweden, Scotland, New Zealand, Indonesia and Brazil.

Note: this button does not require you to say who you vote for . He also does not check that his ballot has been put in the ballot box ...
